FCSHRM is Now a Dual Membership Chapter (DMR)!

We’re excited to share that as of April 14, 2025, Frederick County SHRM (FCSHRM) is officially a Dual Membership Chapter (DMR)! This means that moving forward, all FCSHRM members will also be members of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), bringing you the best of both national and local HR support, all in one seamless experience.

Professional Membership Qualifications

To be eligible for membership in FCSHRM, individuals must reside or work in Frederick County or the surrounding areas and meet at least one of the following criteria:

  • Actively engaged in the human resource profession at either the exempt or non-exempt level

  • Certified by the Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) or SHRM

  • A faculty member (assistant, associate, or full professor) in human resource management or a related field at an accredited college or university

  • A full-time consultant specializing in human resource management

  • A full-time attorney who counsels and advises clients on human resource-related matters

  • Retired from a professional career in human resources

  • Employed by an organization that provides services or products to HR departments (e.g., vendors, solution providers)
